WOW What a wonderful weekend
May 3rd to 5th 2024 was the seventh annual Great Escape WOW (Women on Water ) Weekend.
It was a fabulous weekend; ten boats and over 35 women joined us.
As usual we started with a fun briefing and “getting to know you” evening at Opua Cruising Club. The next day we sailed to our destination, Paradise Bay on Urupukapuka Island. We enjoyed a shared meal ashore and many of the team went swimming. Sunday we had a bit more breeze and a fun sail home.
It’s a wonderful weekend, organised by women for women. We laugh, we share ideas, we learn, and we have fun sailing in the beautiful Bay of Islands.
